Yesterday was a rest day but I did take advantage of the
massage and hydro-massage chairs. I actually had to remind myself a few times that
I needed to not go workout. I walked puppies instead. And I spent most of the
day working.
So, today. I stopped and got donuts for the guys on my way to the woods this
morning and I didn’t eat even one. I had yogurt, a banana, and almonds for
breakfast. I don’t know what the deal is, but I am starving. I’m trying to eat
less and healthier, but I AM HUNGRY!
My workout was amazing! I was walking along as fast as I
could on the treadmill but I couldn’t get my heart rate to go up. How has this happened so fast? I was power
walking, pumping my arms, and my heart was cool as a cucumber.
I thought what
the heck and cranked up the speed and started running. Running! This was about fifteen
minutes into my walk. After a minute and a half, when I was sure death was
imminent, I slowed to a walk and let my heart return to life-maintaining rate.
I walked for another five minutes and decided to try it again. This time I
lasted one minute before I died. I then did six minutes on the rowing machine.
But you guys! I ran on the treadmill! And I’m here, sitting at my computer, typing
away, alive and breathing!
The big thought that keeps popping into my head is, the last
time I ran, my lungs were on fire. It took quite a few minutes before I could gulp
enough air to quit panicking. I coughed up all kinds of crud. I was still
smoking.
Wooooohooooo!!! Get it Auntie!!
