January 31, 2020

January 31, 2020 Today may have been rest day, but I still took advantage of the PF massage and hydro-massage chairs! My legs are still extremely sore, especially if I sit still for very long. Gotta keep moving!

January 30, 2020

January 30, 2020                 Honestly, I can’t believe I went back today. Last night was even rougher than the first night. I might have gotten two hours of sleep total. I don’t want to lose my momentum though! So, after I got back from a job this morning, and took an hour nap, I headed to the gym.                 After the double-fiasco with the phone on the treadmill yesterday, I stopped at Wally’s and bought a set of Bluetooth headphones. I eliminated one possible embarrassing scenario that could happen at the gym - out of a bazillion. The less embarrassment, the more likely I am to continue going.                 I did twenty minutes on the treadmill, walking a little slower than yesterday for most of it. January 29, 2020                 I wasn’t sure I’d be capable of going back today. My hands swelled up shortly after I got home yesterday. After a minute, I moved them to my knees. Then my ankles. I rotated them around until they were warm and I was finally able to get some sleep.      ...

January 28, 2020

January 28, 2020                 Everything seemed to be conspiring against my plans to start working out. I joined Planet Fitness a month ago online for the new gym opening a couple blocks away. It was still under construction and didn’t open until the end of the first week of January. I left the state the same day it opened. After a physically and emotionally stressful five-day trip, my neck was so kinked it gave me headaches that I couldn’t get rid of. And then I was tired. I’m working a lot. And then I didn’t want to go by myself. I hate going into a new place and feeling out of place and foolish because I don’t know the drill and I’m sure everyone else there does.                 I finally made an appointment for new member orientation and asked Kayla to go with me. At the orientation the guide gave quick instructions on how to ...
