February 13&14,
2020
Yesterday
was a rest day but I did go enjoy the Planet Fitness massage and hydro-massage
chairs. The staff are starting to recognize me and greet me by name when I come
in. I’m there every day so I guess it shouldn’t surprise me. It’s nice though!
After
the pain in my shins and ankles while running, my dad suggested I try a bicycle
machine. I found two different types; one where you’re sitting up or even kind
of leaning forward while pedaling, and the other where you’re leaned back
slightly while pedaling. I tried the sitting up one today. It was a good
workout, my heart rate stayed up, and besides some burning muscles, there was
no pain. I’ll try the other one tomorrow.
I
really like the rowing machine and will continue using this one. I can feel it
working my core, arms and shoulders, and it also keeps my heart rate up. I’m
able to do six minutes total; three minutes, rest, and three more minutes. By
the end of it, I’m literally watching the timer and talking myself into just a
few more seconds. I didn’t go near a treadmill today.
There’s
a machine called Total Body Enhancement or something like that. It has lights
that are supposed help with scarring, acne, wrinkles, etc., and help you get
vitamin D, which probably everyone in Oregon needs more of. It also does some
kind of vibration or something that works your muscles. I’m sure there’s more
to it than that. I’m considering trying it soon and will report back my findings. 😊
I
normally enjoy the massage and hydro-massage chairs after my workout each day,
but I didn’t have time today as I rushed off to go see my brother get married!
After I got back home and worked a few hours, I showed back up over at Planet
Fitness for the second time today for my workout reward. Both staff behind the
front desk called out, “Hi, Teresa!” I felt like I was walking into Cheers. “Noorrmm!”
