Instead
of taking an hour or two nap when I get home from work, I’ve been going to work
out. So, if I don’t take a nap, only drink one cup of coffee as I’m driving to
the woods at somewhere around 4 in the morning, workout relatively hard in the
late morning, and avoid sugary everything all day, I should be able to fall
right to sleep pretty early in the evening. Right? Wrong. Hopefully my body
starts appreciating all these healthy choices and hard work I’m putting in,
(and forgives me for all the abuse I’ve put it through for years and years,)
and will let me start getting some good sleep. It’s hard to stay positive and
have energy while under the influence of sleep deprivation. Okay, enough
complaining.
I
walked the treadmill for thirty minutes, running for one minute, three times,
throughout. It was literally all I could handle. I’ve never had any real
injuries so when my ankles started hurting, I could only assume it’s because they
weren’t made to carry this much weight, especially while running. My hope is
that as weight comes off, the pain in my ankles and knees will diminish. I’m thankful
for Ibuprofen. Oh, I also did six minutes on the rowing machine. Whew!
I had
an apple, a banana, and some almonds for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and two
burritos for dinner. I should have only had one burrito. I’m not used to
thinking about these things. I don’t think I was even hungry after the first
burrito. It was just good so I wanted another one. So, now I’m disappointed in
myself, but determined to start fresh tomorrow.
